DAY 1: TRANSFER TO PUCON & VOLCANIC CAVES
After arrival at Temuco Airport your transfer takes you to Pucon. In the afternoon we will head to the volcano´s slopes, where we will have the possibility of visiting one of the only two volcanic caves open to visitors in the world. Continuing our tour, we will visit the base of the volcano to have a spectacular view of the Villarrica Lake and its surroundings.
DAY 2 FD TREKKING HUERQUEHUE NP
Today a beautiful trip along lakes and lagoons in the Huerquehue National Park is awaiting you. At the entrance we will see the impressive Tinquilco Lake. During the Trekking (medium Trekking of approx. 5-6 hours) you will explore the most common vegetation including monkey puzzle trees, southern beech and oak trees.
DAY 3: HD MAPUCHE CULTURE
We start the day from your hotel and then make our way to the private Mapuche museum of the Ulloa-Metzger family. This unique collection of Mapuche artefacts was collected over the years by this family who has done a fantastic job of displaying the stone, wood and silver pieces in a tasteful setting. From there we will pass through the charming town of Pucon and cross over the Trancura river to the community of Quelhue, where a Mapuche family will explain some of the traditions of their culture.
DAY 4: TRANSFER OUT
Return to Temuco Airport.
