Punta Arenas – Ushuaia Route
DAY 1: PUNTA ARENAS
After welcome cocktail and reception on board, we start sailing through the Strait of Magellan.
DAY 2: AINSWORTH BAY & TUCKERS ISLET
We continue navigating through Almirantazgo Sound, arriving to the Alberto De Agostini National Park. From a distance we can see the Marinelli Glacier descending from the Darwin Mountain Range. Then we take a walk to discover a beaver dam in the marvelous sub polar Magellanic forest. Our sail continues to Tuckers Islets.
DAY 3: PIA GLACIER
Navigating along the main part of the Beagle Channel we reach Pia Fjord, where we disembark near Pia Glacier and take a short hike to a look-out point with a spectacular view of the entire glacier . Our sail continues along the northwest arm of the Beagle Channel through the majestic Glacier Alley.
DAY 4: CAPE HORN & WULAIA BAY
We pass the Murray Channel and Nassau Bay and reach Cape Horn National Park, where we will disembark (weather permitting). In the afternoon, we go ashore at historic Wulaia Bay, once the site of one of the region’s largest Yamana aboriginal settlements. We will walk through a Magellanic forest of Lengas, Coihues, Canelos and other native vegetation until we reach a look-out point.
DAY 5: USHUAIA
In the morning arrival at Ushuaia.
